This client contacted us for a planting consult after the builders had finished on their property. We began by paving the area surrounding the front and back of the house using oatmeal granite paving and oatmeal cobblestone to finish.
Bed preparation was poor, so we assessed drainage, brought in large amounts of topsoil and organic matter and replanted all beds. We brought curves into the bed scheme for interest and added trees and shrubs to the beds surrounding the house.
Lawns were reintroduced to what was initially a muddy, weedy field, with areas being regraded and sections mounded around the house for height. Large amounts of topsoil were brought in and all lawns were re-seeded.
Planting throughout the garden includes hydrangea limelight, salvias, allium, nadina, bay, stipa grasses, verbena and perovskia.
